This November, our project partners gathered at the esteemed Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI), part of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), a leading institution shaping the future of creative industries for the latest TPM (Transnational Project Meeting) of the FAIR FASHION initiative. We are thrilled with the progress we made together. The AMFI building, steeped in history as the former administrative centre of the Amstel Brewery, provided the perfect backdrop for a forward-looking conversation on sustainable fashion.
A highlight of the TPM was the co-creation workshop dedicated to designing the upcoming FAIR FASHION bootcamps. Led by project coordinator Prof. Dr Sue Rossano-Rivero, the session brought together partners to merge three essential European competence frameworks:
Prof. Rossano-Rivero’s facilitation allowed these frameworks to be integrated seamlessly, resulting in a unified structure that is both academically robust & practical for implementation.
This emerging structure was further enriched by insights drawn from the Orientation Days recently held across the three participating universities. These events provided valuable observations on educator and learner expectations, levels of digital readiness
The outcomes of the meeting mark a significant advancement for the FAIR FASHION project. We now have a strong foundation for building high-impact, green & digital bootcamps that will empower young people (particularly young women) with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving fashion & textile sector.

As we look ahead, the Amsterdam meeting marks a pivotal turn: from planning to delivery. Our next steps will involve bootcamp content creation and the building of support tools. Evaluating them in partner contexts and refining with feedback from educators & experts. We anticipate that by integrating digital, educational & green competences, we will create a transformative learning experience that empowers a new generation of conscious fashion and textile professionals.
Stay tuned for further updates, we’re excited about what’s ahead!
